MARGARET PROPES COCHRAN

Services for Margaret Ann Propes Cochran, 59, of Kilgore will be 10 AM Saturday, May 6, 2000, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Besser officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Cochran died Thrusday, May 4, 2000, in Tyler.

She was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Kilgore. Mrs. Cochran was a 1959 graduate of Kilgore High School. She attended Kilgore College and obtained her bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mrs. Cochran was a longtime elementary schoolteacher in the Union Grove School District. She obtained her master's in education from the University of Texas at Tyler. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, the Classroom Teachers Association and the Rainbow Girls Association.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Cochran of Kilgore; a son and his fiance, Kevin Donald Cochran and Lisa Kaye Nichols of Longview; her mother, Martha Propes Howeth of Kilgore; a sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Gene Thrash of Tyler; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Melinda Propes of Plano; one granddaughter, Bailey Elizabeth Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will recieve friends at the Rader Funeral Home Friday 6:30-8:30 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 3800 Paluxy Drive, Suite 560, Tyler, Texas 75703, or the St. Luke's United Methodist Church of Kilgore.

Honorary pallbearers are to be the Kilgore High School Class of 1959.
