Grant Baker, 87, died today in a Charlottesville hospital. He was the son of the late Daniel Webster and Esther A. Black Baker.


He is survived by his wife, Pauline Black Baker; three brothers, Floyd and Oliver Baker of Benedict, Neb. and Earl Baker of Bradenton, Fla. and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Baker Wantz of York, Neb.


Mr. Baker was a retired farmer and member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church and trustee in Monticello Barracks No. 2734 of Work War I veterans.


Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hill and Irving and are incomplete.

Mr. Grant Baker, 87, of Charlottesville, died Wednesday. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War I. 


He is survived by his wife, Pauline Black Baker; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Baker Wantz of York, Neb.; three brothers, Earl Baker, of Bradenton, Fla,, Floyd Baker and Oliver Baker of Benedict, Neb. 


Services 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Hill & Irving Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Hillsboro Cemetery, Yancey Mills.
