WYNONA SCARBROUGH
TISHOMINGO – Services for Wynona B. Scarbrough, 88, of Lubbock, TX, were July 12 in W.W. Rix Chapel in Lubbock, Rev. John H. Johns officiating.
Graveside services were July 14 at the Tishomingo Cemetery, Rev. Keith Jacobs officiating. She was born Oct. 6, 1908 in Taiban, N.M. and died July 10,
1997 in Lubbock.
She graduated from Ada Teachers College and taught school for many years. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Lota and was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Lubbock, where she has lived since 1951. She married Lewis B. Scarbrough on Jan. 21, 1939, in Ardmore, and he preceded her in death on June 28,1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Scruggs of Clinton, Miss; a sister, Robetoy Speer of Antlers; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Rix Funeral Dirctors of Lubbock.
