HELSETH, Bernice A. "Peg" (Age 99) Entered into rest March 11, 1999 in Spokane, WA. She was born Jan. 15, 1900 in Almira, WA to Fred and Mary Squire. The family moved to Wilbur where Bernice attended school. Part of her youth was spent on the family fruit ranch on the banks of the Columbia River where she became an avid horsewoman. She moved to Spokane in 1920 after working for the Bell Telephone Company in Olympia. In 1922, she married Neil Briley who died in 1928. In 1931, Bernice married Jess M. Helseth [June 5, 1931] who passed away in 1963. Bernice was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman, Oscar, Albert and Fred Squire; and a sister, Dolores Parks. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert N. and Doris Briley; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews [names omitted]. Memorial Services will be held Monday, March 15, 1999 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Terrace Chapel, 1841 E. Upriver Dr. Interment will precede at 10:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 13, 1999, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
