Margaret "Peggy" Dearinger, the daughter of James and Margaret [Mateer] Radcliffe, was born November 23, 1922, in Belfast, North Ireland. She was educated in the public school system in Belfast. On January 19, 1944 she was married to Sgt. cliford O. Dearinger, who was serving in the United States Army at Belfast, North Ireland. She came to this country in April of 1946 and lived in Galesburg, Iowa until moving to Monroe in 1950. She had been a telephone operator in Monroe for several years and retired from the Pella Manufacturing Company in Pella, Iowa in 1984. Margaret had been a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survived by her daughter: Loraine Kent of North Liberty, Iowa; her son: Brian Dearinger of Youkon, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister in Belfast, North Ireland. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and her husband.
