PITTSFORD, April 16 - Word has been received of the death Tuesday of Mrs. Mary Hitchcock Roberts, 74, wife of Morris A. Roberts at her home in Lynn, Mass.
She was born in Pittsford, April 24, 1867, the daughter of E. Pike and Ida (Porter) Hitchcock. Before her marriage she conducted, for a time, a private school in this town.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband; a son, Penfield Roberts of Littleton, Mass.; two daughters, Elizabeth and Anne Roberts of Lynn, Mass.; two brothers, Frank L. Hitchcock of Belmont, Mass., and Erwin Hitchcock of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Lynn today. The ashes will be brought here Sunday for a private committal service at the family lot in Pittsford Evergreen cemetery, Monday.
