Robert E. Fenters, 71, of Hobart, IN, passed away on Monday, April 7, 1997. He was retired from Inland Steel Corporation with 40 years of service. A member of Indiana Harbor Masonic Lodge #686 F&AM and United Steel Workers Local #1010. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fenters in June of 1996. Survived by daughter, Janet (Don) Huizinga of McHenry, IL; granddaughter, Aileen Huizinga; one brother, Norman Parkhurst of Gary, IN.; nephew and nieces. Funeral services Thursday, April 10, 1997, 10 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, Hobart, (corner of Rt 51 & 7th Street), Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends may call at the Burns Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Indiana Harbor Lodge #686 will hold a memorial service on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
