From the Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Miss., Oct. 4, 1959, p. 14:

Mrs. Josie Fransioli, 94, native and lifelong resident of Jackson and oldest member of St. Peter’s Church, died Friday at 10:15 p.m. at a local nursing home.

Rosary will be said by the Rev. Edward E. Michelin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. The Most Reverend Joseph B. Brunini will be the celebrant of a Requiem Mass to be said for Mrs. Fransioli at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Co-Cathedral. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was a member of the Jackson Pioneer Club, was active in church and civic affairs, and for a number of years served on the board of the Old Ladies Home. Her late husband, Charles A. Fransioli, was a pioneer Jackson merchant.

She leaves one sister, Mrs. Emma Addkison, of Jackson; a number of nieces and nephews, including Mr. and Mrs. Pat Buckley, with whom she made her home at 800 North President street, Mrs. Louis A. Miazza, Sr., Mrs. John V. Sadler, Mrs. Marie Peters, H. M. Addkison, Sr., Frank McDonnell, all of Jackson, Otto Muller, and Miss Bertha Muller, both of Canton.
