Justin graduated from Maconaquah High School in 1997 where he enjoyed running and wrestling.
Following graduation from high school, he worked as a security guard in the Detroit area for several years before securing a job as a firefighter at Hulman Field Air Force Base, Terre Haute.
He was a member of the 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne and was in the process of preparing for deployment to Iraq.
He was the loving father of two beautiful daughters.
