Inez Pope Allen, 90, formerly of Oak Ridge, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Snellville, Ga.
She was survived by her four children, Glenda Hedges of Montville, N.J., Barbara Grant of Snellville, Ga., Ron Allen of Tucker, Ga., and Michael Allen of Powell, Tenn; six grandchildren, Bill Hedges, Melanie De Micco, Heidi Cornelius, Leslie Allen, and David Allen; four great-grandchildren, Escher De Micco, Graham Allen, Molly Inez Allen, and Conrad (Harry) Cornelius. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Allen; parents, Claude and Ida Pope; sisters, Exie Quinn, and Hazel Swan;, and brother Ralph Pope.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Inez Pope Allen, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at New York Avenue Church of Christ in Oak Ridge, Tenn. A graveside service will be held in late spring to bury her ashes in the family cemetery in Suit, N.C. No flowers please.
