My paternal grandmother "Willie Estelle WHISENANT " is buried next to her 2nd husband, Frank O. Bennett. Her 1st husband was my grandfather, William W. Williams, Sr and one of their son's, William W. Williams, Jr. was my father who is buried near her grave. She was a very special lady!! A true grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Willie's father was James Farrel WHISENANT and his mother was Laura TIDWELL who died before June 1899. Her step-mother who raised her was Armie Eulala TIDWELL (who was Laura's sister). Armie married Willie's father James after Laura's death on 25 June 1899 in Ashville, St. Clair, Alabama USA. Willie had one sister, Claud Maybell WHISENANT, and 2 half-brothers: Roy Leslie WHISENANT and Coy Farrel WHISENANT and 3 sisters: Fannie Inez, Grace Arlenia, and Nellie Ruth WHISENANT.
