Jane died and was buried in Greene Co, PA. The locations of her grave and of her husband's (George Haines) grave are unknown. She and George were married at The Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Shawangunk, NY on Aug. 7, 1809. They moved to PA before 1813. Jane and George had 11 children.

There is no church documentation for Jane's birth nor baptism. This is unusual for the McCord family since all of her 17 siblings are listed in the church records. Because of the lack of documentation- her actual birth mother is unknown. However, she is listed as an heir to father's estate.

Son Cyrenius has written about his mother Jane in the HISTORY OF GREENE COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA. Samuel P. Bates, Chicago, 1888, p. 816). It states, "His mother was of Scotch and Dutch ancestry" and had been from New York."
