Leigh Anne Jasper Walker, 38 years of age, of Birmingham, Alabama, departed this life on Thursday, April 17th, 2014.
Leigh was born on March 6th, 1976 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of Jerry Jasper and Linda Shadoan Jasper. She was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with her son Brayden.
Leigh was survived by her mother, Linda Shadoan Jasper Newman of Somerset, Kentucky; her father, Jerry (and Janice) Jasper of Homer, Georgia; one son, Brayden Walker of Childersburg, Alabama; a former husband, Steve Walker of Childersburg, Alabama; one sister, Ginger (and Shannon) Thompson of Somerset, Kentucky; two step-brothers, Paul (and Cindy) Newman of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Chris (and Kim) Fowler of Buford, Georgia; one aunt, Donna (and Joe) Hampton of Georgetown, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Lewis and Betty Shadoan of Somerset, Kentucky; one nephew, Asher Thompson; one niece, Zoey Thompson; and many other nieces, cousins and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Claude Newman; and paternal grandparents, Hassel and Zella Jasper.
Visitations were held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 after 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Brown officiating.
Burial followed in the Slate Branch Cemetery.
