Janis Fae Wall Rhodes, 71, of Lodi, CA, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2011, the result of a year- long battle with lung cancer. Janis valiantly and bravely endured the harsh cancer treatments so that she could live a longer life with her family and friends who were so important to her.
Janis was born in French Camp on December 29, 1939. The drum majorette for Lodi High School, she graduated in 1957. Janis was married to Conrad Graham and they had two children together, Constance Cheryl and Alyce Marie. She married Gerald Rhodes later in life and they lived in California then Louisiana until Gerald's death in 2007. Janis (having grown up in the Lodi Baptist Church) was a member of the Amite Baptist Church in Watson, LA and often spoke lovingly of her church family. Janis moved back to Lodi in 2009 and reconnected with many of her high school friends, and very special life-long friend, Vern Weigum.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Wall Halen.
