MISHAWAKA - Diana L. DeCloedt, 67, of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday morning, April 15, 2014, in Morningcrest Nursing and Memory Care Center, South Bend. Diana was born September 2, 1946, in Niles, a daughter of the late Doyle and Cecile (Cunningham) Banghart. She grew up in Edwardsburg and Mishawaka and was a graduate of Mishawaka High School.

Diana married Richard L."Dick" DeCloedt on December 7, 1967, in St. Bavo Church, Mishawaka. The couple made Mishawaka their home. Diana's employment included Miles Laboratories, Solvay Enzymes, Damon Corporation and Houser-Norberg Medical Office. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Diana enjoyed shopping, walking, and picking strawberries and blueberries. She liked cooking and baking and was particularly known for her Kieflies. Diana enjoyed spending time with family and friends and family reunions meant a great deal to her. She also loved the holidays.

Diana's surviving family includes her daughter, Robin (Frank) Millar of South Bend; her son, Tony DeCloedt of Mishawaka; two granddaughters, Allie and Tory Millar; her "granddog," Reagan; two brothers, Thomas and Denny; two sisters, Judy and Sandra; a brother-in-law, Ray (Mary Ann) DeCloedt; and a sister-in-law, Janet (Reuben) Hodgson.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and also a brother-in-law, Frank DeCloedt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 21, at 10:30 am in St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka, Ave., Mishawaka, with Monsignor Bruce Piechocki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may spend time with Diana's family Saturday, April 19, from 2 5 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 4 pm. Memorials are suggested to the Center for Hospice Care or the American Diabetes Association . Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
