Kenneth William Voss was born on September 13, 1931, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Ernest and Lillian (Wuethrich) Voss. Ken was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bismarck Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He attended elementary school at a country school and was a 1949 graduate of Winthrop High School.
On October 19, 1952, he was united in marriage to Darlene Ann Peterson at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, rural Lafayette, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Patricia Ann and Bradley Kenneth. Kenneth and Darlene shared 61 years of marriage.
Ken was drafted into the United States Army on February 5, 1953, and served his country during the Korean War, serving 16 months in Korea. He received an Honorable Discharge on February 5, 1955. He was a lifelong member of the VFW and American Legion. He was also very proud to be a member of the Honor Guard.
Ken was a member of First Lutheran Church in Winthrop and served for many years on the church council. He was active in the PTA when his children were young, and also was an active adult leader in his children's 4H Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Easter Star for over 50 years.
Ken lived his entire life on the family farm in Transit Township. After farming, he drove school bus for many years for WHS and GFW. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He loved camping and fishing and socializing with his friends.
Ken Voss passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Birchwood House in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 82 years. Blessed be his memory.

Children, Patricia Voss of Shakopee, MN, and
Bradley (Debra) Voss of Winthrop, MN;
Grandchildren, Jesse (Jodi) Isaacson of Indio, CA, Marcia (Joe) Wenzel of Big Lake, MN, and Matthew Isaacson of Shakopee, MN;
Great-Grandchildren, Kailee and Ashlyn Wenzel and Jaxon and Jarrett Isaacson;
Sister, Carol Stephenson;
Many Other Relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his Parents, Ernest and Lillian Voss; Brother-In-Law, Richard Stephenson; and Nephew, Keith Stephenson.
