Son of John Lee Martin & Bertha L. (Phillips) Martin. Married Margaret Stevens Aug 20, 1937 in Colorado. Ed & Margaret had 3 boys, Phillip Lee Martin (1942-2009) Michael Edgar Martin (1943- ) and Gary Frank Martin (1947- ) Ed worked in the logging industry at Fraser, CO He died after a logging accident in which a tree kicked back and crushed him against another tree. His 12 yr old son Phillip was helping, and with Phillips help, he was able to make it home and be transported 50 miles to the nearest hospital. He lapsed into a coma and died when it was attempted to transfer him to a larger hospital.
