A heart attack proved fatal for Mrs. Lloyd Brooks, 43 , at her home, 908 Morton Street, at 12:10 o'clock this afternoon.
Although Mrs. Brooks had been in failing health for about three months, her death was unexpected.
Mrs. Brooks was a lifetime resident of Richardson County, having been born in the Rulo vicinity March 31, 1903. She was a daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Elias O. Martin of Falls City. She was married to Lloyd Brooks at Hiawatha Nov. 20, 1920. She was a member of the Missouri Pacific Booster club and the Navy Mothers club.
Surviving her are her husband; six children, Eugene E. Brooks, Pasadena, Calif., Keith P. and Lloyd Lee Brooks both at home, Kenneth Brooks, U.S. navy, stationed at Olathe, Kas., and now at home, and Donna Kay and Gary Don Brooks, both at home. She also is survived by two brothers, Glenn and Earl Martin, Falls City, and by five sisters, Mrs. Pearl Best, Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Elmer Wilson, Falls City, Mrs. Marie Martin, Bradwood, Ore., and Mrs. Velma Service, Jetmore, Kas.
The body of Mrs. Brooks is at Dorr and Philpot's pending funeral arrangements. "
