Dorothy was born on May 6, 1939, in Adair, Iowa, to the late Henry and Lillie (Swolley) Vokt. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 26 years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary Chadwick (1986), and Gary Schuler (2002); brother, Henry (Junior) Vokt.
Survivors include daughters, Kim Chadwick, Marijo Lindley and husband, Dennis, all of Council Bluffs; sons, Brian and Colleen Chadwick, of Denver, Colo., Steven Chadwick, of Glenwood, Iowa; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Mary Ellen Stowell, of Etna Calif., Doris Petersen, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Helen Bryant, of Marshalltown, Iowa, Elaine Gray, of Arvada, Colo., Evelyn Loots, of Ames, Iowa.
