Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Jack Starford Mitchell; grandparents, John and Bertie (Woody) Balentine, Gus and Elsie Mitchell; three uncles, Albert, Claudis, and Earnest Clyde Mitchell; and three aunts, Thelma Alexander, Ann Alexander, and Cleo Green.
Dwight worked for Arkansas Highway Department for 11 years, helped his father on the cattle farm and drove a truck.
He loved the outdoors; fishing, camping out, and riding horses. Later in life, he loved to play music with his friends, or as he would say, "try to". He was a very loving Dad, loved people and, of course, he loved his grandkids.
His wishes were to donate his organs and have a memorial to celebrate his life with family and friends. The service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Roller-Crouch Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Brother David Campbell is officiating.
