Rebecca C. Weaver, 87, of 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, formerly of Denver, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Fairmount Homes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enos S. Weaver, in 1997.
Born in Westover, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Bennett and Lena Alberta (Huffman) Yoder.
She was a member of Denver Mennonite Church and had worked at Spring Glen Fresh Foods and the former Meadowbrook Farmers Market.
Surviving are two children: Levi Y. married to Norma (Minch) Weaver, Ormond Beach, FL and Ruth Y. married to Barry Remp, Sinking Spring; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; four siblings: Eli married to Minnie Yoder, VA; Freda married to H. Arthur Good, Ephrata; Crist married to Jean Ann Thorton Yoder, MD; and Grace married to Blair Hann, Elizabethtown.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Paul Y. Weaver in 1957, a grandson Christopher Shirk, and six siblings: Paul, David, Roy, George, and Charles Yoder and Esther Martin.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Centerville Mennonite Church with Luke Sensenig, Ray Auker, Mark Sensenig, and Philip Sensenig as officiating ministry. Interment will be in Hinkletown Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
