Howard "Bill" Steele
September 02, 1931 - July 10, 2013

U.S. Veteran Howard W. "Bill" Steele Sr, 81 of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday at his home.
Bill was a retired Bell Telephone (AT&T) Lineman. He served in the US Army during the Korean War era. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge- past governor, VFW, American Legion-past Sgt at Arms, 40&8, Shriners and 50+ member of the Blue Lodge.
He was born September 2, 1931 in Whitestown to Clarence and Wauneta Sexton Steele. He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Bob) Criswell of St. Cloud, FL; Son, Howard W. Steele Jr of Florida; and significant other Wanda Woodcock of Crawfordsville. He is also survived by his grandson Justin Criswell, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with military rites. Cremation was chosen and interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
