Mrs. Clarence Haxton
Hobart-Services for Mrs. Clarence (Caroline) Haxton, 76, of Rt. 2, who died Saturday at Vale View Convalescent Center in Valparaiso, were held today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gilbert Meilander officated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Born in Porter County, she resided most of her life in Hobart and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Post Auxiliary 54.
Besides the husband, she is survived by two daughters, Una Jean Cooper of Chesterton and Shirley Scharbach of Portage; a son, David of Union City, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Forrest Gradle of Carmel and Jesse Gradle of Hobart; and a sister, Florence Piske of Seattle, Wash.
Rees Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
