Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Gareth Rhodes Jr., Chris Rhodes, and Craig Rhodes; brother, Russell Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Jeremy G. Rhodes and wife, April, and Jennifer Lynn Rhodes and fiance, Michael Smith; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor Rhodes and Lucas James Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abbey and Beaulah Thibodeaux; husband, Gareth Rhodes Sr.; companion of 17 years, Max Melerine; son, Ronald Michael Rhodes; and sisters, Delores Lirette, Hilda Pitre, and Marjorie McMeel.
Marion was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
She was very passionate about bowling. She was a founding member of the Houma Women's Bowling Association and the Junior Bowling Association. She enjoyed traveling with her bowling buddies to attend different tournaments and playing Po-Keno with her best friends. She also enjoyed fishing. Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all her loved ones.
