Edward F. Otto, 53, of 1639 Doty St., died Wednesday at 10:45 p.m. at Theda Clark Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday,

A lifelong resident of Oshkosh, he was born here on Oct. 18, 1907, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Otto, and was married to Miss Margaret Hoffman on April 3, 1940.

Mr. Otto had been employed for the past five years as a bookkeeper by Peoples Brewing Company. Prior to that, he was employed in the circulation department of the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern Company for 29 years until July 1, 1953. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Joan Gail, and one son, James E at home; and one sister, Mrs. Clarence Krause, Oshkosh, Preceding him in death were one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Theodore Sauer officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Marquardt Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday, and at the church from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
