ALONZO JUDSON ABBEY, son of David and Nancy (Farnham) Abbey, born March 1, 1825 (Ulster Co, NY); died March 24, 1887, in Chester, N J and is buried there. He was an excellent musician and was a publisher of music in New York City.

Married (1) February 23, 1848, MARGARET RUTLEDGE, born May 13, 1829.

Married (2) December 14, 1862, MARY ELIZABETH TOPPING, born September 2, 1838, daughter of James and Mary ( ) Topping. She resides in Newark, N. J.

1 - Frances C. Abbey, b. July 16, 1850; resided at Rock Stream, (Yates Co) N. Y., in 1894. Married Dec. li, 1873, Austin B. Thompson, b. May 3, 1841. No children.

2 - Flora J. Abbey, b. Sept. 22, 1855; m. Dec. 13, 1876, Dimock G. Harrington, b. Julv 22, 1854. Children : i. Ida Ella, b. Nov. 22, 1881 ; ii. Lena Maria, b. July 9, 1883.

1 - George Topping Abbey, b. Feb. 19, 1864 ; fireman ; resides in Newark. Married Oct. 1, 1894, Sarah A. Macaulay. Child : Edith Irene, b. June, 1895.

2 - Mary Farnham Abbey, b. Nov. 8, 1866; resides in Newark. Married Feb. 15, 1890, James A. Pope, b. May 30, 1860. Children : 1. Ethel May, b. March 31, 1891, d. Dec. 11, 1899 ; ii. James Arthur, b. Oct. 20, 1892 ; iii. Charles Harold, b. Oct. 11, 1896.
