Douglas Leon Bradley, 92, of Everett, Washington passed away on April 12, 2014. He was born June 12, 1922 in Moroni, Utah, the son of Rees and Pearl Bradley and lived in Everett.
He served in the US Navy from February of 1944 until June of 1946, where he was stationed in Arlington, Washington and fell in love with the Northwest - deciding to stay and raise his family. Douglas married Frances Larsen Cregger on June 4, 1948 in Manti, Utah.
He worked for Sound View Pulp & Paper beginning in 1949; Sound View then became Scott Paper Company and Doug retired from there in 1984. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he was well known for his record keeping. He and his wife, Frances, also served a stake mission for two years for the church from 1958-1960. He had interests in flower and vegetable gardening, swimming, genealogy and motorcycle riding (when younger). He also loved writing in his journal which he began keeping in his high school years until his passing.
Douglas L. Bradley is survived by sons, Marion G. Bradley and Douglas J. Hobbs; and daughters, Leona Cook and Karla Lee Stringer. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Victor R. Bradley.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Everett.
