Gary Conway Westberry, 46, of Jupiter, Florida passed away on July 10, 2000 in Lake Wales, Florida. Returning home from spending a relaxing and enjoyable long weekend with his brother and his wife and Gary's aunts, he was killed in a single car traffic accident. Born in Miami, Florida he was the youngest of three children. His older sister and brother are twins. He had previously lived in Charlotte, NC. Gary was a private investigator of a private research company in Tampa for 13 years and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol in Dade County, Florida. Gary enjoyed fishing, reading and especially spending time with his wonderful and loving daughters. He was a loving brother, father, nephew and son. At the time of his death, Gary was separated from his wife and had started a new life with his loving daughters. He was extremely happy at this new time in his life being able to enjoy many of the things he loved. He is survived by his two daughters, brother and his wife (Maryland), sister, her husband and daughter (North Carolina) as well as his two aunts (Tampa) and his parents (North Carolina). Services were held in Jupiter, Florida on July 19, 2000. As a remembrance of Gary, his brother and his brother's wife dedicated and placed a marker in his honor at St. Stephen's Catholic Church "Walk of Honor" in Maryland. In addition, his brother, sister and aunts, with their families, compiled a cookbook of all the favorite recipes submitted by Gary's friends and family members. Over 100 cookbooks were published for his family members and long-time friends. "Be Cool" as Gary would always say.
