Found in The State 25 March 1959: Funeral services for Martin L. Moore, 75, of 900 D Avenue, West Columbia, who died Monday at his home, will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the Thompson Funeral Home by the Rev. Everette Croxton and the Rev. Joe Tyler. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. He was born in Laurens County, but had made his home in West Columbia for 10 years. Mr. Moore was a retired grocery store operator and a member of the Green Street Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Lawless of West Columbia; a son, M. R. Moore of Cayce; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Brewer of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Mamie Jones of Greenville and Mrs. Allie Martin of Laurens, and five grandchildren.
