PAXTON - Marium J. (Pickard) Pentland, 82, of 667 Pleasant St., formerly of Heirs Landing, South Dennis, died Sunday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Hahnemann, Worcester, after a brief illness.
Her husband, Lewis J. Pentland, died in 1979. She leaves two sons, a daughter, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., daughter of Rolland F. and Cora F. (Button) Pickard, and had lived in Paxton for the past five years.
Mrs. Pentland was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School, and attended William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the South Dennis Historical Society, and was a former member of the South Dennis Congregational Church.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Paxton. The Rev. Donald D. Whitcomb will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, N.H.
The family requests flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to the Building Fund of the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church St., Paxton 01612. Caswell-King Funeral Home, 1147 Main St., Holden, is directing arrangements.
