Dewey E. Johnson, 80, of Roswell died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lena; his sons, Max S. Johnson and Dewey Johnson Jr.; two brothers; and five grandchildren.
He served as a major in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a World War II veteran. He served in New Mexico House of Representatives and as a football and basketball coach. He had lived in Roswell 46 years.
