Mrs. Carla G White 83 , passed away Thursday April 17, 2014 at University Hospital in Columbia Mo. surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Carla was born September 18, 1930 in Sidney Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Emma I. Wilson Greedy. She was married on August 30, 1953 at Offutt Air Base Omaha, Nebraska to George Paul White.

She gradated from Sidney High School and attended Columbia College then known as Christian College in Columbia.

Carla lived in Albany Mo. with the family after her husband completed college. They moved to Jefferson City in 1968 and she was employed with Associated General Contractors then as Administrative Assistant to Mike Garrett, the first director of Public Safety for Missouri and later with Wallstreet Fiancial Group.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she held several committee appointments Carla was a very active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Victoria Chapter No. 14 serving a Worthy Matron, District Deputy Matron, and Grand Representative to the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was a Diplomat for the Convention and Visitors Bureau, among many other activities in the community.

Survivors include; her husband of sixty years, George Paul White, one son, Carl Michael White and his wife Sonya of Raymndville, Mo. one daughter, Lucy Cole and husband Steve of Branson, two grandchildren, Melissa N.Harbian of Jefferson City. and Randi J. Hyde of Jefferson City, three great grandchildren, Grace Sullinger of Palm Springs California, Emmma Walters of the home, and Ava Feely of Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be at the Wesley United Methodist Church from 10a.m. to 12 noon Saturday May 24, 2014 with an Order of the Eastern Star Service to be conducted at 9;45 a.m. under the auspices of the Victoria Chapter No.14.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12non Saturday May 24, 2014 at the Wesley Unite Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Vansant officiating . Private entombment wlll be the Columbarium at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Ft Leonard Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shrines Children's Hospital in St Louis Mo. or the Wesley United Methodist Church in Jefferson City, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
