William "Billy" "Biscuit" Ross Mize, age 97, of McCalla, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born February 13, 1917 at Princeton Birmingham, AL, to Ruth Mize and Ross Cooper Mize. He is survived by his sons, Ross (Gay) Mize, Charles Mize, William Mize , Jr., and Jimmy Mize; his daughters, Jacqueline Dennis, Ruth Ann (Chuck) Fischer, Ellen (Larry) Brower, Robin (Joe) Simpson and Donna (Alan) Praschil; his grandchildren, Ross Mize, Jr., Charles Stamps, Kathy Capps, Renee Stamps, Frankie King, Richard Maclean, Jennifer Lindemann, Raymond Olencki, Jr., Maria Simpson and Samantha Crossley; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; his brothers, Robert Wayne Hilliard and Donald Richard Hilliard and his sister, Margaret Hardy. Pallbearers will be, Carl Hall, Richard Humber, Judson Jones, Frank King, Bobby Nelson and Larry Taylor. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Bro. Bill McCall will be officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
