Hanson "Hank" Robertson Hinton, 48, died suddenly at 3 p.m. at his home, 1117 Second St., Gulfport. He was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Lumberton and had resided in Gulfport six years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Terry Hinton; one son, Ben Terry Hinton; one daughter, Marilyn Elizabeth Hinton, all of Gulfport; his parents, Robert W. and Mrs. Mamie Robertson Hinton, Lumberton; two brothers, R. W. Hinton, Jackson; Julian P. Hinton, Knoxville, Tenn.; and a sister, Mrs. Clifton Vance, Houston, Texas.
Mr. Hinton was a member of First Methodist Church, Men's Bible Class, a Mason, Gulfport Gridiron Club and Professional Engineers of Mississippi. He attended Lumberton High School and graduated from University of Mississippi School of Engineering, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.
He was chief of the Real Estate Division, Technical Training Air Force, at the time of his death. Before coming to Gulfport he held the same position at Barksdale AFB, La., and Scott AFB, Ill.
The body will be moved from Lang's Funeral Home to the First Methodist Church in Gulfport, at 3 p.m. today for services at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Clyde H. Gunn, minister.
The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Hinton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Terry, 613 River Road, Greenwood, where funeral services will be held Tuesday. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood.
