At fourteen Durks left the farm and exhibited his flawed face in a Single-O show. He became know as "The man with two noses and three eyes." In the 1960s , he earned as much as $100.00 a week plus a cash bonus. He appeared At Huberts Museum in New York. He married Mildred the Alligator-skinned Women later in life. He became a widower in 1968.
