Sarah Wiltrout, 89, nee Durden, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Beckmann Funeral Home with Dr. Don Higginbotham officiating.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday evening, June 11, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wiltrout was born March 7, 1921, in San Antonio, the daughter of Jerry Durden Sr. and Sophie Siefert Durden. She married Otto Wiltrout on April 27, 1946, at First Baptist Church. He preceded her in death.
A Fredericksburg High School graduate, Mrs. Wiltrout worked at several places over the years, including the Nimitz Hotel, Fredericksburg Bakery, the Radio Post and Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wiltrout is survived by one son, Terry Wiltrout of Doss; two daughters and sons-in-law, including Helen and Glen Welch of Florence and Karen Wiltrout and Billy Harper of Kingsland; one granddaughter, and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wiltrout was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry M. Durden Jr.
