Farmington- Joan G. Prince 63, of Zion's Hill Road in Chesterville went to be with the Lord on Monday Feb. 7 at Franklin Memorial Hospital following a short illness with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 21, 1947, the daughter of Henry V. Sr. and Liliane (Arsenault) Dupuis. On Feb. 24, 1968 she married Richard Prince and together they raised their 3 sons in Chesterville. She was educated in Auburn schools and received her diploma from Edward Little High School in 1965. She later established a daycare at her home in Chesterville where she cared for and loved as many as 12 children at a time. She still kept in touch with many of them till her death. As an avid housewife and mother she loved to spend her spare time doing arts and crafts where she gave away many of her creative works. She also liked to cook, do crossword puzzles and pickling her fresh vegetables from her garden. Joan also loved her flowers and making fresh arrangements from her garden sharing those with others around her. Joan was the "clown" of the family. She would entertain us with comedy skits that would leave us in stitches and tears of laughter. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Besides her husband she is survived by her three sons, Steve and Kevin of Rock Hill, SC.; Brian and his wife, Joanne, of Westerville, OH. ; three sisters, Jeannette Plourde and husband Carlton of Lewiston, Lauraine Dupuis and friend Beverly Dale of Augusta and Lucille Coleman and husband Lewis of Irmo, S.C.. one brother, Henry V. Jr. of Lisbon; two Grandchildren, Miranda and Elliot of Westerville, OH.. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father.
