Scott D. Lackey, 68, of 415 E. Union St., died unexpectedly in his home at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Lackey was a retired pipe fitter and member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 553 of Wood River. He retired in 1962 after 29 years.
He was a resident of Edwardsville for the past 40 years.
Mr. Lackey was born March 23, 1902, in Villa Ridge, the son of the late William and May Parker Lackey.
His wife, Mrs. Helen [Paur] Ingram Lackey, survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Russell (Lavonna [1930-2004]) Klenke of Ventura, Calif., a stepson, Kenneth J. Ingram of Edwardsville, and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Zirges of Worden, Mrs. Roman (Margaret) Stolcis of Edwardsville, and Mrs. Arlie (Norma) Schon of Moro.
Mr. Lackey had 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Edwardsville Lodge No. 99, AF and AM.
He was a member of the LeClaire Baptist Church.
Friends may call at Lesley Marks Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Raymond Herwig, Pastor of the LeClaire Baptist Church, officiating.
Members of Local 553 will assemble at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, and Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold R. Ferverda, Frederick Krome, Richard L. Schmidt, Robert B. Murray, Walter C. Bratten and James K. Peck, all members of Edwardsville Lodge 99, AF & AM.
