Lorna M. Bailey, 81, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Feb. 23, 2014, at Golden Living Center – Dorchester with her family at her side. She was born on June 27, 1932, in the Town of Union to Edmund and Louise (DuBois) VanderMissen.
On Aug. 7, 1954, she married Carroll W. Bailey in Dycksville; he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2005.
Lorna enjoyed spending time in her flower garden. She also loved feeding her birds and squirrels.
Survivors include five children: Wayne (Bonnie) Bailey, Green Bay, WI; Kim (Doug) Welch, Sturgeon Bay, WI; Marsha (Terry Kolstad) Bailey; Sturgeon Bay, WI; Kay (Sam) Jones, Palm City, Florida and Lee (Terry) Bailey, Sturgeon Bay, WI;
10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren;
2 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren;
a sister, Lillian Delfosse, Algoma, WI;
a brother, Mark (Shirley) VanderMissen, Luxemburg, WI;
in-laws: Terry (Ginny) Bailey, Sheboygan, WI; Sharen (Gerald) Osborne, Spooner, WI; and Karen (DeLoy) Lackershire, New Holstein, WI;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and brother-in-law Herman Delfosse.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood with the Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
