Eugenia Alma Abraham Mahfouz
A Mass of Christian of Burial celebrating the life of Eugenia Alma Abraham Mahfouz will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 in St Francis Xavier Cathedral, with Rev. Chris Nayak and Rev. August Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Eugenia Alma Abraham Mahfouz, 85, of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Grace Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents Remo and Margaret Abraham, Sr.; her siblings: Paul Abraham, Mary Abraham Bush, Alice Mae Abraham, and Remo Abraham, Jr.
Eugenia best known as "Queenie", was a member of the Syra-Meric Club of Alexandria, and a volunteer for the St. Frances Cabrini Ladies Auxiliary for over 20 years. Through her love of cooking she reached many lives, Eugenia loved family gatherings and any special occasion that included her family and cooking.
Those left to cherish her memories include her children: Margaret Dauzat and her husband Wayne of Pineville, Phyllis Mahfouz of Baton Rouge and Herbert "Butch" Mahfouz of Leesville and his fiancé Mary Drake Farmer of Alexandria; five grandchildren: Gary Wayne Dauzat, Jr., Sandy West, Angel Mahfouz Parker, Ashley Matte Moore and Austin Mahfouz; thirteen great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Austin Mahfouz, Donald Baker, Remo Abraham III, Russell Abraham, Gary LaHood, and Dusty Nassif.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis LaHood, George LaHood, Sr., Ellis Saybe, Johnny Hesni, Mark Gormanous and Dr. Greg Gormanous.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Grace Home for their loving caring attention that was given to the entire family.
The family wishes that memorials are made to the Grace Home of Alexandria at 3330 Masonic Drive Alexandria, LA 71301.
