Killed in the crash of B-26C Marauder #41-35142, nine miles southwest of Hartselle, Alabama.

Stationed at Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia.

Son of Robert Sevas & Helen (Benson) Bailey.

Seven other Army airmen also perished:
