Damon was a son of the late Chester "Booster" Robbins, Jr. and Eva Katherine Barton Robbins.

He was a member of the Miller's Chapel Baptist Church.

Brothers: Dennis (Diana) Robbins of Speedwell, TN., Waymon (Annette) Robbins of New Tazewell, TN., Chris Robbins of Washington D.C., and Kelvin (Paula) Robbins of Hutch.

Sister: Laura Robbins of Tazewell, TN.

Grandchildren: Raley, Jerika and Chloe Boatright of New Tazewell, TN., Bailey Helton of Middlesboro and Brodie Dane Robbins of Pineville.
