Sally García Martínez, age 83, born in Las Vegas, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at home with her family at her side.
Sally is survived by her husband, Carlos, children, C. Lorraine Parsons and Gary Martín, Louis García and Donna J. García, sister, Helen Martínez, brothers, Gilbert Padilla and his wife, Eva, and Joseph Padilla and his wife, Jacque, grandchildren, Rebekah Johnson and her husband, Casey, and Louis Lovato and wife, Pamela, great-grandchildren, Elijah Johnson, Angel and Carlos Lovato and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sally was preceded in death by her former husband, Luís García and her parents, Alfonso and Lucinda Padilla.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, Albuquerque, NM. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Committal Service will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Marty Rivera, Johnny García, Robert Ortega, Joey Gonzáles, Warren Maestas and Gil Padilla.
