Mrs. Bertha Adams was born April 13, 1922 to the parentage of Mr. William "Sonny" and Mrs. Jimmie Green.

She received her education in McLennan County.

Sis. Adams accepted Christ at an early age as a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Later she became a member of the Gholson Church of God in Christ. In her later years she served as the Church Mother until her health failed.

She united in marriage to William Adams on June 2, 1941. She was the mother of six children; three of whom were born to this union.

Sis. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-five years, all of her siblings, a daughter, Angie Mae Harris, and a son, William Gene Adams.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Aaron Trotter and his wife Othalene of Waco; Jackie Dean Adam and his wife Cookie, of Summerville; two daughters, Annie Mae Stafford and her husband, Rev. Henry Stafford of Fort Worth, and Margie Ann Bradford and her husband, McArthur Bradford, Jr. of Gholson, a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
