FRED BOWEN went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 30, 2010. He was born May 14, 1918 near Bogard MO. He was the 9th of 10 children born to Emanuel and Middie (Douglas) Bowen, although the youngest child died in infancy making Fred the baby of the family.

He was baptized into Christ at the age of 12 along with his brother, Orval. A few years after his father died, Fred moved with the rest of his family to Advance IN where he graduated from high school. He worked as a hired hand for a farmer near Lebanon IN and married in 1939. Fred worked at Richardson Rubber Co in Indianapolis until 1946 when he moved his family to Fishers.

Fred and his wife rented the Vina Lee Farm where they raised their three sons during the next 17 years. They moved into a new home in Fishers in 1963 and never moved.
