She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Adaline Schlappi; brother, Darryl Schlappi; and daughters, Lucinda and Jennie Christian.
She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Robert Christian-Westphal; her sister, Sheryl Henkel; sons, David Christian (Lela Wall), Oliver (Lesa) Christian, and Bobby Christian (Dawn Wheeler); and three beautiful grandaughters, Mia, Makenna and Nikole Christian; as well as extended family members and many, many friends.
DeLora devoted most of her life to taking care of others and the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as a ordinance worker in the Seattle Temple for the past eight years.She has been employed by the Catholic Community Services for the past 16 years, where she made many friends.
She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. She had a big heart and always put everyone else's needs before her own. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and her three grandaughters, who brought her so much joy.
Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 17222 43rd Ave NE Arlington, WA. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m.
Everyone is invited to join the family in a graveside dedication following the service, at The Burlington City Cemetary, 10497 Gardner Rd, Burlington, WA.
