Obituary

Rebecca (Thaice) Simmons was born May 15, 1946 to the late Charley Thaice and Henrietta Glover-Thaice in Eutaville, SC. Rebecca was one of five children. Rebecca spent her early childhood years in South Carolina before moving to Boston, MA. She later married her then husband Abraham Simmons and to this union two beuatiful children were born; the late Abraham (Darryl) Simmons and Georgina (Gina) Simmons-Lavan.

Rebecca joined Greater Love Tabernacle Church on Februaury 8, 2004 where she was a dedicated member of service. She was saved and loved the Lord.

Rebecca was a true caretaker in every aspect of her life. She spent her years not only loving the Lord, her family, and friends but also worked in various caretaker roles.

Rebecca worked for the Visiting Nurses Association of Boston, Day Care provider, Foster parent for the the Home for Little Wanderers and owned a transportation service.

Rebecca was loved by many, she was known by the smile on her face, the sincerity in her eyes and the compassion in her voice. It wasn't just her arms she held open with grace but also her home. There wasn't a force or a frown when you heard you were going to "Aunt Rebecca's "house because she knew how to make you feel right at home. If you visited with her on Sunday just know the collard greens and mac & cheese is ready. And the fish fry is on Friday.
