Thurman Allen Dotson, 86, died Sunday at Mediapolis, where he had lived for the past few years after retiring as a farmer.
Born in Louisa county Sep. 22, 1867, he was married to Minerva Deborah Jamison on Nov. 19, 1889. She is dead as is a son.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lewis Pilling, Mediapolis rural; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Nilli Mellenger, Mediapolis, Mrs. Etta Hobbs, Morning Sun and Mrs. Bazzie Westfall, Wapello.
Funeral services will be hel Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Fry funeral home, with burial in the Kossuth Cem. Rev. Estil Phelpe, Baptist Church Minister conducted the service.
