Funeral services for Elsie L.C. Parker, 96, of Winnsboro will be 11am Friday April 18, 2014 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Cedar Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday April 17, 2014 5pm to 8pm in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parker was born on May 8, 1917 in Rocky Branch to Willie Adam Aulds and Ada Ann Powell and passed from this life on April 15, 2014 at Plantation Manor Nursing Home.

She lived a long healthy, happy, Christian life. God has blessed her greatly. She was a nurse and care giver to many people in the Winnsboro community.

Preceding Mrs. Parker in death was her husband Bob Parker; son Bobby Joe Parker; daughter Mebble Hinton; parents Willie Adam Aulds and Ada Ann Powell.

Survivors include her grandchildren: John Hinton and wife Sarah of West Monroe, LA, Daphynne Steinkirchner and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX, Dennis Parker of Gilbert, LA, Janine Garland and husband Gregg of Calhoun, LA, Nancy Dye and husband Randy of Mangham, LA, Charlyn Emfinger and husband Jason of Winnsboro, LA; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, anda host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Artis Free, Randy Dye, Ray Thomas, Jason Emfinger, Gregg Garland, Shaun Swan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Fortenberry.
