Mary Barks Robison, age 98, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her home near Grassy.

She was born September 9, 1915 at Greenville, the daughter of Gabriel and Myrtle (Pigg) Talley.

A resident of Greenville for many years, she had lived in St. Louis before moving to Grassy. She was a housekeeper for the former Gish-Bowles and Coder Funeral Home in Greenville and had worked for the Cloverleaf Cafe. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was married to Albert L. Barks and he preceded her in death. She was then married to James "Dock" Robison July 23, 1965 and he passed away March 27, 1969.

Also preceding her in death are 2 children, Louise Jean Washburn and William Ludwell Barks, 1 brother, Elmo Talley, 3 sisters, Cora White, Winnie Shiverdeck, Rosie Skaggs, 1 half sister, Sally Blocker, 1 grandson, Timothy Mark Owensby and 1 step grandchild, Stacie Robison.

Survivors include 2 children, Bonnie L. Owensby, of St. Louis, Johnathan Barks, of Grassy, 1 stepson, Harold Robison, of Lebanon, MO, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Friday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Elijah Allen officiating.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Greenville.

Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Make A Wish Foundation.
